Behind The Chaps: Miss Rodeo Tennessee

Posted on July 2, 2022 by Miss Rodeo America

Tennessee means music! We just cannot have a proper representation of the state of Tennessee without a nod to a primary industry that keeps our toes tapping and our boots scootin’ throughout life.

As Tennesseans like to say, “we’ve got blues in the west, bluegrass in the east, and whole lotta country in between.”

Arrowhead Now is the maker of the newest set of perpetual chaps for Miss Rodeo Tennessee, featuring music notes, clef signs, and musical staffs alongside the famous Tennessee Tri-Star emblem that is the centerpiece of the Tennessee state flag.

These royal blue, smooth leather chaps with multi-colored fringe and gold metallic leather trim were originally designed by Miss Rodeo Tennessee 2021 Sydney Caen.

At the end of her reign, Sydney graciously donated this set of chaps to the Miss Rodeo Tennessee Association to become the newest set of perpetual chaps.

The chaps were returned to Arrowhead Now to have a new belt installed for maximum compatibility with a variety of wearers in the future. Arrowhead Now generously donated the re-tooling of the new belt.

Miss Rodeo Tennessee 2022 Valerie Preston is the first queen to wear this beautiful set of perpetual chaps with its new belt, which features a large Tennessee Tri-Star emblem surrounded by music notes and clef signs.

Thanks to Sydney Caen and Arrowhead Now for keeping this pair of chaps on the rodeo trail.
