First, let’s get you started on the basics of the crown that has become a symbol of the Miss Rodeo America Organization. The crown is made and sponsored by Landstrom’s Original Black Hills Gold Creations of Rapid City, South Dakota. The first crown20150406_150524-1 was created in 1965 and currently resides in the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame.  The beautiful Black Hills Gold design features grape leaf clusters and vines and consists of several cultured pearls and alexandrite stones.  A 1981 Federal Mandate states that Black Hills Gold Jewelry must be manufactured within the Black Hills region of South Dakota and Wyoming.
