As the rodeo season wrapped up, I hopped on a plane to Canada where I spent a fabulous week at the Miss Rodeo Canada Pageant and Canadian Finals Rodeo. I truly got the full Canadian experience during my time there. I attended an Oilers game, got a snow cap at Tim Hortons, ate bison, tried poutine, and rodeoed in a hockey arena!
I have absolutely loved every second I have gotten to travel this year with Kaylee, Miss Rodeo Canada 2024. From Denver to Florida to Cheyenne, we have lived some of our biggest moments together, and I am so grateful to have found a lifelong friend in her this year! It was also such a joy watching Codi Wilson be crowned Miss Rodeo Canada 2025. Codi and I were high school rodeo queens together in 2016, so watching her be crowned Miss Rodeo Canada was truly a full circle moment for us!
After my time in Canada, I headed back for the Miss Rodeo Washington Pageant. Ellensburg was such a beautiful place to be in September, and I enjoyed the lovely people within MRW so much! The highlight of the trip, however, had to be the trek the judges and I made together through downtown Seattle. On foot, by bus, and on trains, we made our way from the airport to the rental car place that was right down the street from Pikes Place, altogether a 15 mile journey! A rodeo queen and three judges heading to a week-long pageant was surely quite the sight for all of the people who were headed to the Seahawks game – Emma Jumper, Judy Gill, Katie Garfield and I all got a good laugh out of it!
From Washington I headed to Utah to film the top secret intro for the Miss Rodeo America Fashion Show. It is hard to believe we are in the final planning stages of the Miss Rodeo America Pageant already. Mesia Murphy and Kiki Shumway have gone above and beyond to make this year incredible – I am so excited for you all to see it!
My next stop in October was the Miss Rodeo New Mexico Pageant. I was so grateful I got to sneak a few days in at home to be there. It was crazy to think about how just two years ago I was on that stage dreaming of being where I am now. Thank you so much to Joan Howland and Jesse Staton for making it possible for me to make it!
I wrapped up October at the back number ceremony for the National Finals Steer Roping. This event has been on my bucket list for years and I am so excited to be here. It is also my last flight as Miss Rodeo America (crazy!) – thank you so much US Rider for being on the Miss Rodeo America team for all of the miles I traveled this year.
